The following policy specifies how we collect and protect the payment information that you provide us with when you buy goods from us using this website (www.detaildepot.co.nz domain).

By placing an order with us online you consent to the collection and protection of your information under the terms of this policy. If you do not accept these terms, please do not buy goods from us.

1. ACCEPTED PAYMENT TYPES

We accept payments from all major credit/debit cards via paypal, however we do not have any control over what cards are accepted by Paypal. To pay via credit/debit cars without an existing Paypal account please refer to the Paypal Payments section below where there is details on how to pay with or without a Paypal account

2. PAYPAL PAYMENTS

When you complete our online checkout process and choose to pay by PayPal, the following payment steps will apply…

(a) When you click the ‘next’ button after choosing the ‘PayPal’ payment option on the final checkout page your internet browser will automatically redirect you to the PayPal secure payment gateway

(b) Upon reaching the PayPal secure payment gateway you will be given the option of either (i) paying by credit or debit card without signing in, or (ii) signing in to your PayPal account and then paying using your account balance or stored credit/debit card or bank details

(c) After you submit your details, PayPal will compile the transaction information (including foreign exchange details), undertake the security checks and verify the transaction

(d) Once the transaction is complete, your browser will automatically redirect you to a receipt page on our website. Finally, an e-mail will be sent to you by us confirming to you that we have received the order and are processing it.

3. DIRECT BANK TRANSFER

You may also choose to pay via direct bank transfer. If choosen as the payment method our bank account information will be emailed to you upon submitting your order. Orders awaiting payment via direct bank transfer will not be processed until the full payment has been recieved in our bank account. Payments can take between 1-3 business days for to complete.

We would like to quickly go over our typical dispatch process so you know how our team works. Once an order has been placed and processed, via paypal which is instant or direct debit which can take a day or two depending on banks processing time and when the order is placed. We aim to pack and ship orders within one working day, subject to stock levels.

You can check the availability of the items you wish to buy as you browse the store. Our team has worked hard to bring you the best shipping solutions to choose from, if you need it the next day or in a few days you can decided on how your purchases are shipped to you. Shipping costs are based on a couple of factors, weight, delivery location and delivery time. We will confirm this in the checkout process based on the weight and nature of the items you wish to buy. Typical delivery times are as follows.

  • Wellington Region – 1 Day
  • Rest of the North Island – 2 Days
  • South island – 2 – 3 Days

If your order is going to be an address outside New Zealand the payment of any customs duties is your responsibility.

All internaltional orders over $300 will be shipped and insured with Fedex Express.

There are a number of other important things we think you should know about our cancellations and returns policy, Why? Because it’s important that you know what to expect from us when you spend money in our store. No hidden surprises. We want to manage your expectations properly from the outset. Plus, we have to make sure we meet the requirements of distance selling legislation that protects your rights as a consumer.

If you wish to cancel your order.

It’s okay to change your mind you know. We are only human after all, If you decide you want to cancel your order before the order has shipped, all you need to do is notify us via e-mail. We will then cancel your order and issue you with a full refund for the cost of the products you wish to cancel or the entire order and the original shipping charge.

30 day Satisfaction Guarantee.

Your right to cancel your order will end seven working days after the date of delivery. However, if you are not satisfied with the performance of any product within thirty days of this date, you should contact us for assistance. Our Team will go over the usage instructions with you and ask you to try using the product again. If this does not remedy your dissatisfaction, you may then return the product to us at your own expense for a full refund or credit note of the cost of the product. You should use an insured delivery service and obtain proof of posting in case of loss or damage en route to us. All unwanted prodcuts must be returned in re-saleable condition.

Faulty Prodcuts

The answer depends on whether or not the product came with a manufacturer’s warranty. Based on an inspection of the product we can provide assistance in dealing with the manufacture to resolve the fault. If not, we will provide similar assistance for up to three months from the date of purchase. Misuse, lack of care and normal wear and tear are not covered.

In all cases where a product develops a fault, you should notify us as soon as possible. You must then return the faulty item to us for inspection, initially at your own expense (we will refund you once we receive the product and confirm that it is faulty). You should use an insured delivery service and obtain proof of posting in case of loss or damage en route to us. When we receive the product we will inspect it and decide how best to assist you. In some cases we will fix the problem ourselves, but we reserve the right to involve the manufacturer directly if necessary. In all cases we will cover the return shipping cost.
